My First Personal Computer

30 01 2008

If I'm not wrong, I won my first Personal Computer in the year 1991 after participating in a writing contest in french and winning the first prize. It was the famous Commodore 64 like in the picture with a tape reader and few tapes containing some games and programs such as the main Operating System (I remember only the Ninja Game I used to play with).

I miss my C64 which I had to exchange few months later to get my first PC with a mouse, The Amiga 500. Check the details of the C64 in this link

Hello Marouen,

Great blog! I am currently a student at the University of Sussex in Brighton, England. I am pursuing an MA in Globalization, Ethnicity and Culture. I am a 25 year old male from Hawaii. I am traveling to Tunisia and I am hoping to be a volunteer for a local NGO. I am writing to because I found your blog during my search for possible volunteer opportunities in Tunisia. I'm wondering if you might point me toward a local NGO or other resource that might be able to put me into contact with volunteer opportunities. I will be in Tunisia from April 11 until April 25 (two weeks). I would like to volunteer for your NGO during my time in Tunisia if possible. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

Hi Marouen,

I discover lately your blog, this post reminds me the Commodore64 age, mine was entirely in beige. I remember the first GameExpro in 1992 (@charguia). I bought a Commodore64 and I can't forget his famous 2D games in a tape (K-7) like Mario, Balderdash, Astronoid...
